Schwarzenegger goes through the looking glass
According to California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sen. Obama has actually cost taxpayers money by foregoing public financing, and is attempting to sell our democracy. The man said this with not a trace of irony. (Apparently selling democracy is fine, unless the buyers are, you know, the citizens.)
Look, I understand that McCain &Palin are losing. They want to rally their troops. They're going to go places in these last 72 hours that they really shouldn't. But c'mon... this is just talking nonsense. Have a little self-respect.

Transcript (from CNN):
SCHWARZENEGGER: It is true -- it is true that Senator Obama has raised massive amounts of campaign funds, more than anyone in the history.
If Senator Obama had taken all of that money that he had spent on TV ads, he could have bailed out the banks, paid off everyone's mortgages, and saved taxpayers a ton of money.
(APPLAUSE)
SCHWARZENEGGER: I think -- I think there will be a backlash against all of this lopsided spending. I think Americans on Tuesday will say, our democracy is not for sale.
Seriously? We're the koolaid drinkers, huh?
