Sarah Palin is now the most famous example of that odd humanoid species that has crawled out from under its rock of late: the anti-choice "feminist."
Palin is an avowed anti-choicer, believing that abortion should be allowed only when the immediate physical health of the mother is at stake. In a now-famous 2006 gubernatorial debate, Palin said that even if her daughter were to become pregnant from a rapist, she (not her daughter, mind you) would still "choose life."
That is, of course, the great irony of Sarah Palin and her ilk: not only do they wrap themselves in feminism as they "choose life," but they want to take that same "choice" away from the rest of us.
I don't know about you, but I've had enough of other people saying what's going to happen to my body. That's why I just made a $25 gift to Planned Parenthood in honor of Sarah Palin. She'll be receiving a card any day now letting her know that she inspired my donation.
